When living in a small apartment, having a conventional living room and dining room is out of the question. The reality is we are left with 100 square feet and a coffee table, side table, and a TV console. In our previous apartment we went through what we thought were two space saving dining tables, only to throw them out because they ate up too much space.

Yes we had to spend more money purchasing this, but this transformable coffee/dining table has really helped us save space. We were thrilled to find one in DSC for 2300HKD($300USD). The table top is a sturdy plywood and the frame is aluminum. It also comes in two finishes: a dark lacquered tone and a black/white acrylic gloss. We don’t know which designer actually made this, but all the mechanisms have worked smoothly! With four castors for easy moving and a hydraulic lift that can adjust to sitting and even standing height for some, its exactly what is necessary for small space living!

Unfortunately DSC is no longer in business in Hong Kong. But Pricerite has something very similar and around the same price.  In fact, there are more and more furniture stores that are popping up because there is a real need for them. Have a look at this video from Pricerite and you’ll see the versatility it offers.
